DN Capital is now one of Europe’s most established VC funds. The site brings to life elements of the firm’s design in the online environment, whilst communicating the excitement and passion of their extensive global network and financial expertise to give portfolio companies the best possible platform for growth.

Goals

Optimal outcomes

DN Capital needed a new website to improve key performance site metrics, including site visits, new business volume enquiries, and conversion rates. Their focus consisted of two main groups: Seed and Series A opportunities in Europe and North America.

To be successful for the internal staff, the site also needed to reduce the time taken for them to receive business plans from entrepreneurs seeking capital.

Additionally, they wanted the new site to feature a user-friendly design for their extensive global network of target audiences. Since DN Capital has set their sights on international expansion, displayed content needed to be relevant to their geographic location.

Over the last two decades DN Capital have backed companies operating in fintech, proptech, travel, digital health, enterprise software and digital media as well as some of Europe’s leading eCommerce companies and online marketplaces including Shazam, Auto1, Purplebricks, Endeca, HomeToGo and Remitly. It was essential that the website provided an optimal experience for the user across the board to secure future investment opportunities.

Research & planning

Getting there

Initially the planning process looked at what DN Capital wanted their new website to achieve, who it is aimed at, why it exists and why those who visit would ever come back. These were the main questions that needed answering before any constructional work began. Additionally, our web team needed to consider the latest SEO best practices to increase web traffic and convert prospective investment opportunities.

This required a responsive web design to adapt to different screen sizes and involved the use of different layouts, font sizes, and placement of navigation menus. We discussed proven ways to increase traffic, improve the user experience and keep visitor’s on the website longer, and properly convey the value of DN Capital’s services. Filters were also included to showcase DN Capitals ‘Our Portfolio’ of all, current and exited investments.

Goldmine Media utilised WordPress to build the new website, a powerful web development platform that allows back end users quick and easy access to new and old content. A custom built blog and social media connectivity enables DN Capital to reach out to their target audiences.
